Who this policy covers This policy explains how House of Kais handles personal information in connection with houseofkais.net, customer accounts, enquiries, orders and payments. Information collected When you enquire, register an account, order or make a payment, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, product selections, order or quotation reference, and messages you provide. Customer accounts also contain saved details, wishlist items and associated order history. Account passwords are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords. Payment records contain the amount, currency, transaction identifiers and payment status needed to match and verify a payment. Card numbers, security codes, banking passwords and payment authentication codes are entered with the payment provider. House of Kais does not store those card or banking credentials in its website database. The website and its hosting services also process technical information, such as connection details, IP addresses, request logs and session identifiers, to deliver the site, prevent misuse and investigate errors. 3. How information is used We use relevant information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, process and verify payments, administer customer accounts, fulfil orders, arrange delivery, provide customer support and handle cancellations, refunds or disputes. Information may also be retained where needed for accounting, legal obligations, fraud prevention and the protection of our service. Providing checkout details does not automatically subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. Transaction-related communications and replies to your enquiries are separate from promotional messages. 4. Payments and service providers Razorpay processes payments. The checkout may receive your name, email address, phone number, transaction amount, currency and order reference to facilitate the payment. We may share the information necessary for an order with delivery providers, communications providers and professional advisers involved in operating the business. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to handle a transaction dispute or protect against fraud. We do not sell customer personal information. 5. Cookies, local storage and external services The website uses essential session cookies for account access, security and checkout. Your shopping bag is stored in your browser's local storage so it can remain available when you revisit. Blocking or clearing these technologies may sign you out or remove locally saved shopping-bag details. Website fonts may be loaded from Google Fonts, and payment components are loaded from Razorpay when used. Your browser connects to these providers to request the resources and may disclose technical information such as your IP address. If you follow a WhatsApp, Instagram or other external link, that service handles information according to its own privacy policy. 6. Retention and security Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described in this policy, including outstanding orders, support, accounting obligations and dispute resolution. Where information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or anonymised, subject to legitimate retention requirements and routine backup handling. We use measures such as HTTPS, password hashing and restricted administrative access to help protect information. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Keep account credentials private and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised activity. 7. Your requests and choices You can review available account details by signing in. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Requests are handled subject to applicable law; some transaction records may need to be retained for legal obligations or unresolved matters.
